Assisting lead scientists in conducting a variety of field surveys. Collecting and recording data accurately. Assisting with data entry and report preparation. Performing preconstruction resource surveys and construction monitoring activities.
Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies or related field
< 3-5 years of professional experience or similar graduate school experience. Aquatic and fisheries field experience desired. > Must be physically able to navigate in high-elevation and rugged field conditions on foot
> Must be able to work in the Central and/or Northern California area
> Terrestrial biological and/or recreation survey experience preferred
> Water quality sampling experience desired
> Knowledge of, and experience with, California flora and wildlife/avian species and habitats
> Plant identification skills (California preferred)
> GPS handheld device experience helpful
> General knowledge of various environmental permitting processes.
