salmon-fest
The annual Stanislaus River Salmon Festival will be held this Sunday, November 14 at the historic town of Knights Ferry, CA. The festival hosts numerous activities for all ages, such as dancers, live music, face painting, Gytokau fish print t-shirts, fly fishing demos, museum exhibits, and historic tours of the covered bridge. The festival also features many educational exhibits covering a variety of topics: the salmon life cycle, wildlife, fisheries, fish monitoring equipment, local agriculture, environmental resources, water safety, river recreational activities, etc. Each year, the highlight of the festival is standing on the bridge looking over the river to watch the annual migration of salmon swim upstream to spawn.
