Today’s photo Friday features one of our most fun accolades of the year: a jar of our homemade relish won second place in the relish category at the Herald Day Canning Contest in August. One of our staff decided to participate in this annual canning event hosted by her hometown of Hearld, California, in Sacramento County, which features categories like homemade jams, jellies, pickles, fresh produce, and of course relish. This sweet relish contained homegrown cucumbers, onions, and an assortment of green, red, and yellow bell peppers from our garden, along with celery and mustard seed, sugar, garlic, turmeric, dill seed and vinegar. Hopefully just the first of many award winners for FISHBIO Farms!
