If anything, we are quick to respond to a challenge at FISHBIO. The other day we posted about how space was getting a little cramped in our facility. Although we’d like to say it only took us a few days to find a new site, pack up everything, and move to a new building. . . we’re fast, but not that fast! The truth is, we’ve been working on this move for a few months. We realized at the end of last year that with our accelerated growth, we’d soon start feeling growing pains. And sure enough we did. Space started to get a little tight at our old place, so over the past week we packed up all our stuff and headed down the road (literally) to a new facility. It’s true, we’re now just around the corner from our old building, but now we have considerably more room to breathe.
Now we can get some serious work done. Our new home consists of 21,000 square feet of office and warehouse space, including enough room to house our expanding wet lab facilities (about 4,000 gallons of chilled water in 26 tanks ranging in size from 5 to 1,500 gallons), all of our boats, and plenty of field equipment. We’re excited to see all the great things that will come from working in the new space. If you’re in the area, stop on by for a visit and check out our new digs, or just swing by and say ‘hi’!
