Deputy Director. Assists Executive Director in the operation of the Council office by carrying out Council business and policies. Supervises technical staff in the development of fishery management plans/amendments and coordination of meetings.
Master’s degree from an accredited university with major study in biology, zoology, fisheries, socioeconomics, or other marine or coastal sciences and a minimum of four or more years of professional experience related to marine science or policy.
Preference may be given to applicants for higher levels of supervisory experience; education; technical writing experience; and knowledge of Gulf of Mexico fishery stocks and communities.
