Seasonal Fisheries Technician

Description: Applicants will have the opportunity to work in the field performing day-to-day management of numerous ponds and lakes in Texas and surrounding states with an emphasis in Aquatic Plant Management and Trophy Fisheries Management. This is a seasonal full-time position, working February through June.

Responsibilities:  

Electrofishing

Data Collection

Transporting and Stocking Fish

Aquatic Herbicide Application

Fertilizer / Lime / Gypsum Application

Other Duties As Assigned

Qualifications: Course work towards degree in fisheries/wildlife or related field.

Responsible, dependable, independent worker capable of physical activity

Ability to work long hours (8-12 hours per day) in the field with limited supervision. (This is not a part-time position.)

Understanding of basic management practices and willingness to learn.

Applicants must pass a pre-hire drug screening to be considered for employment.

Clean driving record is required.

Some overnight travel required.
