We regularly pull litter, such as seen in this picture, from many different rivers where we work. Litter entering our waterways is not a new problem. In fact, many of the items we find, like pull top beer cans and old medicine bottles, are decades old. Litter in our rivers is not only an eyesore but can be a safety issue for recreational users and detrimental to fish and wildlife. We help to keep our rivers clean by collecting and properly disposing of the litter we find and by supporting the many volunteer groups that organize river cleanup events.
