The annual Stanislaus River Salmon Festival will be held this Saturday, November 5, at the historic town of Knights Ferry, CA. The festival is host to numerous activities for all ages, such as live music, face painting, fish printing t-shirts, fly fishing demos, museum exhibits, and tours of the historic covered bridge. The festival also features many educational exhibits covering a wide variety of topics, including the salmon life cycle, wildlife, fisheries, fish monitoring equipment, local agriculture, environmental resources, water safety, river recreational activities, and more. Each year, the highlight of the festival is standing on the bridge looking over the river to watch the Chinook salmon swim upstream to spawn during their annual migration.
