Salmon as food

It’s not uncommon for fish to regurgitate their previous meal due the stress of capture. This brown bullhead threw up the juvenile Chinook salmon as he was being put in the box for a photo. The bullhead was being processed after being captured in an overnight trap sampling event, so it’s likely that the predation occurred while both fish were in captivity.
