Bradyn O’Connor

Wildlife Biologist

Bradyn O’Connor is a wildlife Biologist with extensive experience in monitoring and surveying for both terrestrial and aquatic species. He holds a Master’s Degree in Ecology from UC Davis where he focused on the interaction between climate change and plant chemistry with an emphasis on its impacts on large mammals in the Arctic. During his graduate degree Bradyn focused on teaching wildlife research techniques to students across California, while also emphasizing a focus on climate change monitoring and research. Prior to his graduate studies Bradyn worked at the California Department of Fish and Wildlife on the Sierra Nevada Bighorn Sheep Conservation team. Bradyn has experience with a variety of sampling techniques for both large and small mammals including trapping, tracking, visual surveying, GPS monitoring, camera trapping, radiotelemetry, and aerial surveying.

Bradyn has been entrusted with expanding and developing FISHBIO’s scope of work. With a focus on implementing wildlife monitoring and research into the interaction between wildlife species and fisheries, Bradyn will help develop and lead projects that enhances FISHBIO’s ability to engage with and serve clients more effectively. Bradyn also has a background and training in statistics, laboratory practice, plant chemistry, phenology, and study design.
