A team of officers conducted an operation to implement measures to prevent illegal fishing and a crackdown on a large-scale illegal fishing operation in Tonle Sap.
The suppression of the crime took place from Boeung Ma to Boeung Kamplanh Thom in Phat Sanday commune, Kampong Svay district, Kampong Thom yesterday morning.
Brigadier General Va Chankosal, Deputy Provincial Police Commissioner, chaired the working group meeting and led the crackdown operation. Chankosal and his team cracked down on illegal fishing in the Tonle Sap, where fishermen was using large-scale illegal fishing equipment.
