The Vernalis Adaptive Management Program (VAMP) is an effort by private and public interests to evaluate and improve downstream migrating Chinook survival in the San Joaquin Basin. HTI acoustic tracking is a key component of the research, including using fixed stations and mobile tracking to continuously monitor salmon migration and survival. This effort is using the smallest HTI acoustic tags available, with a dry weight of approximately 0.65g.
