In the last decade, Cambodia’s natural fishery resources have been in decline which could pose problem in the demands of the Cambodian people.

Wonders of the Mekong Project released this worrying report yesterday and pointed to several causes of the decline.

According to the report, Cambodia’s vast Tonle Sap Lake, the Mekong River, the Boeung Boeung River, has supplied more than hundreds of tonnes of fish for domestic consumption and export. The abundance of naturally caught fish have caused people to ignore farm raised fish.
