Upper Park Road at parking lot E/Horseshoe Lake will be temporarily closed starting Wednesday as crews wrap up work on a fish passage project.
According to the City of Chico, the closure will run from Sept. 16 through Sept. 23 to allow equipment and materials to be removed from the Iron Canyon Fish Ladder project site. Pedestrians, bicyclists, and equestrians are asked to use alternate trails and avoid Upper Park Road past parking lot E.
CalTrout, partnering with the City of Chico, the Mechoopda Indian Tribe and the Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve, finished a fish passage project on Big Chico Creek in Upper Bidwell Park.
