The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will take comments through March 2 on a draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement tied to Idaho Power’s application to renew its Hells Canyon hydroelectric project license.
The three-dam Hells Canyon complex lies on the Snake River in Washington and Adams counties in Idaho, and in Wallowa, Malheur and Baker counties in Oregon. Dams are Brownlee on the upstream end, Oxbow in the middle and Hells Canyon on the downstream end.
