The Kampong Cham Fisheries Administration released a 63-kilogramme giant catfish back into the Mekong River in Kampong Cham province after local fishermen handed it over.
According to fisheries officials, the rare fish was accidentally caught at around 10:30am on Saturday, using fishing gear along the Mekong River at Pongro village, Roka Koy commune, Kang Meas district, Kampong Cham. The fishermen immediately reported the catch to authorities.
