Nearly 70,000 salmon returned to the Klamath River and its tributaries, according to a recently released Review of 2026 Ocean Salmon Fisheries.
Published by the Pacific Fishery Management Council (PFMC), the report says a total of 39,860 adult fall-run Chinook salmon returned to spawn in the Klamath River and its tributaries in the fall of 2025, two years after dam removal was completed.
