A Chico-based nonprofit is leading two large-scale restoration projects along the Sacramento River corridor aimed at improving salmon populations, restoring wildlife habitat, and expanding public access to nature in Northern California.

River Partners, founded in 1998, works to restore river ecosystems through science-based strategies and partnerships with public agencies and local communities. The organization has completed projects spanning more than 20,000 acres across the state, working to improve flood safety, biodiversity, and climate resilience.
