Action News Now —
The Bureau of Reclamation will temporarily close the Delta Cross Channel gates on Thursday at approximately 10 a.m. The gates will reopen on Friday at approximately 10 a.m.
According to the Bureau of Reclamation, the temporary closure is intended to help protect adult fall-run Chinook salmon passage and maintain river flows that help guide migrating salmon toward the lower Mokelumne River. Reclamation may conduct a similar temporary gate closure next week.
