PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Oregon wildlife officials are seeking answers after someone dumped salmon along the shoulder of a highway in Clackamas County, officials say.

The Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division hopes to identify those responsible for the dump, which took place on Highway 224 east of SE Tong Road.

The salmon were discovered by a nearby property owner on Dec. 19, but the date of the dump is currently unknown.
