The first Mekong dolphin to die this year has been found in Stung Treng Province

The 20-year-old dolphin was found dead at Koh Kon Sat Dolphin Conservation Cave, Koh Preah Commune, Siem Bok District, Stung Treng Province at 6:30 am on March 19, 2023.

According to experts from the Fisheries Administration and WWF, the dead dolphin, ID number 056, weighs 160 kilograms, is 2.38 meters long and is about 20 years old.
