Today’s Photo Friday presents two views of our summer snorkel surveys. While the snorkeler’s underwater observations to count rainbow trout are the heart of our surveys, equally (if not more) important is recording that data for later analysis. You can read our report that summarizes seven years of Stanislaus River snorkel surveys to learn about the precipitous decline of the rainbow trout population. We are keen to crunch the numbers to see what this year’s surveys reveal.
