We’re thrilled to share that FISHBIO has a brand-new website! Months of thought and effort went into developing a new site to showcase the best of what FISHBIO has to offer. The result is a visually appealing, information-rich online platform for our work, which highlights our services, technologies, projects, wealth of resources, and much more. Visit our homepage to check out our new look – we invite you to dive in and explore more at www.fishbio.com!

Our new website makes it easier to explore FISHBIO’s core services, centered around research, monitoring, conservation, fabrication, and communication. We also shine a spotlight on fisheries technologies that are central to our work with the help of videos, infographics, and blog posts. In the Tracking section, you can learn about acoustic telemetry and PIT tag technology, while the Imaging section highlights ARIS/DIDSON sonar cameras, the Riverwatcher, Smolt Spy, drones, and custom cameras. The Trapping section features our many methods of collecting fish, including fyke traps, fish counting-weirs, rotary screw traps, and electrofishing, while the Molecular section highlights our work using environmental DNA technology and population genetic techniques. The new site also describes our Fish Lab, where we conduct controlled experiments and test equipment.

We now have a brand-new Resources section that organizes our various collections on the site. These include our popular News page and Jobs Board as well as a new Publications hub, where you can browse our scientific publications and presentations, as well as our key documents, including resources we’ve developed on Fish Conservation Zones in Southeast Asia, and a collection of our scientific posters. We’ve also created a new feature called the Research Roundup, which is a curated collection of scientific papers relevant to our work. On our Multimedia page, you’ll find links to our videos, photos, and infographics. And of course, we’ll continue to update our Fish Report and blog with research summaries, updates on our projects, and more.

Interested to know where we work? Interactive maps make it easy to explore our projects in California and throughout North America, as well as our international work in Southeast Asia and Central America. You can also browse our projects gallery to learn more about what we do. We love that the new site gives us ways to highlight some of the fun things that make FISHBIO unique. In our Culture section, you can keep tabs on what’s happening in our garden (Grow), the latest beer-related activities in our Brew Lab (Brew), and our furry and feathered friends at the office (Hatch). And be sure to check out our staff pages to meet the people who make FISHBIO possible. We want to extend a big thank you to Max Boyd for his beautiful design and to White Rabbit Group for turning it into reality. We hope you enjoy exploring and learning on our new site – drop us a line to let us know what you think!
